Own and optimize the partner relations and content marketing approval workflow for anime assets across internal teams and 3rd-party partners. Lead the submission and approval process for titles with distributors like Amazon, Roku, LG, and Samsung; plan SVOD and theatrical promotions; build relationships with Japanese, Chinese, and Korean creators and licensors; and ensure delivery of goals in mature and developing markets during a 6‑month contract reporting to the Director.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • As a (Contract) Partner Relations & Content Marketing Coordinator, you will build processes with cross-functional teams to streamline the approval experience for both our content creators/licensors and internal teams.
  • You will manage the anime approval submission process for the Marketing organization, particularly for our 3rd-party distribution partners (e.g., Amazon, Roku, LG, Samsung).
  • You will participate in planning for SVOD and theatrical promotions, and support Brand Managers in building meaningful relationships with Japanese, Chinese, and Korean creators and licensors.
  • You will lead the approval process for our titles, ensuring the impact and delivery of our goals in both mature and developing markets.
  • We expect that our creators and licensors will support our marketing initiatives and tactics through your communication and guidance throughout the approval process.
  • This is a 6-month contract position.
  • In the role of (Contract) Partner Relations & Content Marketing Coordinator, you will report to the Director, Partner Relations & Content Marketing.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing coordination, approvals, partner management, content operations, or a similar role within entertainment, media, licensing, or consumer-facing brands.
  • Experience managing multiple creative assets, timelines, and review cycles across several partners and projects at once.
  • Experience supporting approvals, campaign execution, or asset trafficking for marketing promotions from submission through final delivery.
  • Experience working with IP holders for asset approvals and tracking.
  • Experience working with 3rd-party distribution partners for asset approvals and tracking.
  • Experience with project management and asset management tools.
  • Experience communicating with partners from different cultural backgrounds, particularly Japanese business culture.
  • Experience working with globally distributed partners (external and internal), preferably around process improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably related to Communications or Marketing.

Preferred

  • Japanese fluency is preferred.
  • Strong interest in anime and Japanese pop culture is a huge plus.
