Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Editing short-form video content (Reels / TikTok) from Coffeehouse Cinema shoots and screenings
  • Turning written ideas (including Substack posts) into engaging Instagram carousel posts
  • Assisting with formatting captions and preparing posts for publishing
  • Organizing footage and assets in a shared content library
  • Scheduling social media posts across platforms
  • Occasionally helping capture video or photo content at screenings or content shoots (optional)
  • Most content will be filmed by the Coffeehouse Cinema team, and the intern’s primary role will be editing and preparing that content for release
  • The Coffeehouse Cinema founders will guide the overall content direction, but the intern is welcome to contribute ideas and help experiment with new social media formats

Requirements

  • Interest in film, storytelling, and independent cinema
  • Experience editing short-form video (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.)
  • Comfortable creating simple visual graphics or carousel posts (Canva, Figma, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow a weekly posting schedule
  • Curiosity about digital storytelling and social media

Preferred

  • Experience with video editing or design tools (Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.)
  • Pursuing a degree in Film, Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
