The Content Manager, Power Generation Media, is responsible for planning, producing, publishing, and optimizing digital media content focused on power generation (conventional, flexible, and emerging generation technologies). The role ensures consistent, credible, and commercially aligned generation coverage across Energy media channels, while translating strategic direction from senior content leadership into executed media output.
How you'll make an impact:
Editorial & Digital Content Leadership
- Own the power generation digital media beat, including topic definition, editorial calendar input, and content prioritization
- Research, write, edit, and publish high‑quality digital content, including:
- News and analysis
- Features and explainers
- Executive and industry interviews
- Newsletter content
- Social media content
- Commission, edit, and manage contributed content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and editorial standards
- Help develop a stable of industry experts to deepen technical coverage
- Maintain consistent editorial voice, tone, and subject‑matter credibility across generation coverage
- Contribute strategic input into generating content priorities and positioning in partnership with content leaders
- Identify emerging content platform and delivery type opportunities where Energy can grow brand awareness, audience engagement, and subscriber conversion
Digital Media Operations & Execution
- Publish and manage content across Clarion digital platforms, including websites, e‑newsletters, social media, video, and podcasts
- Develop, deploy, and maintain generation‑focused e‑newsletters on a regular cadence
- Apply SEO and AIO best practices to maximize discoverability, author citation, and audience growth
- Monitor content performance and audience engagement metrics; adjust coverage based on insights and alignment with ICP
- Collaborate with production, operations, and coordination resources to ensure on‑time delivery and workflow efficiency
- Contribute to special digital media initiatives such as webinars, sponsored content programs, downloadable assets, and topic‑focused content series
- Own day‑to‑day execution of generation‑related media workflows
Social Media Collaboration
- Support social media distribution of generation content by coordinating with social media and marketing teams
- Develop a visible social media presence to grow authority as a trusted source
- Provide copy, context, and editorial guidance to ensure generation content is represented accurately across social channels
- Participate in industry conversation through professional social engagement, aligned with brand standards
Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Partner with the Director‑level media lead focused on renewables to ensure balanced, complementary Energy coverage
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to support and develop sponsored and client‑facing media programs while maintaining editorial integrity
- Work with senior digital and content leaders to translate portfolio‑level strategy into executable generation media plans
Industry Engagement
- Build and maintain a network of power‑generation‑focused industry contacts and contributors
- Attend industry events to foster relationships and develop unique event-specific content
- Conduct interviews with utilities, OEMs, developers, EPCs, and solution providers
- Stay current on generation technology trends to inform timely and relevant coverage
The skills & experience you'll need:
- 4–7 years of experience in B2B journalism, digital media, or content marketing
- Desire to be instrumental in brand growth and become a trusted voice in the power generation sector
- Presence in multiple media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Reddit
- Strong writing, editing, interviewing, and headline development skills
- Experience working in CMS‑driven digital publishing environments
- Working knowledge of SEO, digital analytics, and newsletter performance metrics
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, engaging editorial content
- Ability to travel to industry trade shows and events several times a year
Preferred
- Demonstrated experience covering power generation, energy infrastructure, or related industrial sectors
- Experience supporting sponsored or advertiser‑aligned media programs
- Experience working with cross‑functional marketing, sales, and digital teams
- Comfort operating independently with clear accountability and defined scope

- The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 with an opportunity for a bonus
