Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create content for Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok-style short-form videos, YouTube Shorts, Facebook and Instagram ads, product videos, customer installation videos, drone footage, behind-the-scenes content, product launches, boat shows and events, educational boating content, viral/trending concepts, AI-generated and AI-enhanced content
  • Shoot, edit and publish content quickly while constantly experimenting with new ideas
  • Turn boats, cameras, night-vision footage, customer installations, product testing, behind-the-scenes content and crazy ideas into professional, entertaining and highly shareable content
  • Maintain understanding of fast-paced editing, hooks, captions, motion graphics, music, color correction, storytelling, retention, pattern interrupts, and vertical 9:16 formats
  • Differentiate between a video that looks cool and a video people watch until the end
  • Plan shots and drone footage and tell a story through video
  • Help with day-to-day tasks around the office, warehouse, products, events or company operations when needed
  • Aim to make BoatEye360 impossible to ignore online
  • Collaborate with teams to create content that leads to sales

Requirements

  • Proven ability to shoot, edit and publish content quickly for Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok-style short-form videos, YouTube Shorts, ads, product videos, customer installation videos, drone footage, behind-the-scenes content, product launches, boat shows and events, educational boating content, viral/trending concepts, AI-generated and AI-enhanced content
  • Understanding attention, storytelling, trends, hooks, algorithms, AI-generated content and how content turns into sales
  • Strong editing skills with fast-paced editing, hooks in the first 1–3 seconds, captions and motion graphics, music and sound effects, color correction, storytelling, retention, pattern interrupts, vertical video, 9:16 social content, paid and organic social content
  • Comfortable with AI tools for video, images, generative fill, voiceovers, editing, animation, backgrounds and effects, ideation with AI and creating multiple ad variations
  • Comfortable flying a drone and capturing smooth, professional footage of boats underway, marina environments, product installations, on-water testing, boat shows, lifestyle content, promotional videos
  • Ability to work independently, move fast without constant direction, experiment, and take an idea to finished content
  • Knowledge that the goal is growing the brand and generating sales
  • Bachelor's degree not required; assessment based on content created

Preferred

  • Marine or boating experience is awesome, but not required.
