Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own Allied Maker’s content calendar across email, social media, website, and other brand communications, establishing a consistent publishing rhythm and ensuring initiatives move from idea through execution.
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including product launches, project features, editorial stories, company updates, showroom communications, and other brand initiatives. Manage copy, imagery, campaign building, scheduling, audience segmentation, and performance reporting.
  • Manage Allied Maker’s organic social media presence, including Instagram and LinkedIn. Develop posts, carousels, stories, reels, and captions; source and organize imagery; schedule content; coordinate credits and collaborators; and monitor engagement and performance.
  • Identify and develop stories from within Allied Maker. Regularly engage with the design studio, manufacturing floor, showroom, product development, completed projects, and company leadership to recognize moments worth documenting and communicating.
  • Support product and collection launches by coordinating photography, product information, founder commentary, email, social media, website content, press materials, launch timing, and ongoing storytelling.
  • Maintain and develop website content, including project installations, editorial features, product and collection updates, homepage content, imagery, copy, and supporting information.
  • Serve as the internal communications partner to Allied Maker’s PR agency, coordinating photography, product information, project credits, founder commentary, press materials, and incoming media requests.
  • Organize and maintain Allied Maker’s creative asset library, including product photography, project photography, video, process imagery, press assets, brand materials, historic content, and project credits.
  • Track performance across marketing channels and use results to continually improve subject matter, cadence, format, and audience engagement.
  • Work closely with Allied Maker’s principals and creative team to translate broader creative direction into polished, brand-appropriate communications while maintaining momentum and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in content, communications, marketing, editorial, social media, or a related role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to develop a distinctive and consistent brand voice.
  • Strong visual judgment and an understanding of photography, composition, typography, material, and presentation.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple active projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to take projects from initial direction through completion without requiring constant oversight.
  • Experience creating and managing email marketing and organic social media content.
  • Comfortable working within a creative environment where direction may begin conceptually and require the candidate to determine the steps necessary for execution.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly around copy, imagery, credits, product information, and brand consistency.
  • Genuine interest in interiors, decorative lighting, furniture, architecture, art, craft, fashion, or other design-driven fields.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively and proactively gathering information from designers, engineers, makers, sales teams, leadership, and external partners.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a design, interiors, furniture, lighting, architecture, luxury, fashion, hospitality, or similarly design-led brand.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, content management systems, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, or comparable creative tools.
  • Basic photography, video capture, editing, or content-production skills are a plus.
