Job Description
Responsibilities
- Consistently use successful techniques and company directives to screen, hire, orient, and train new personnel.
- Provide support to staff to encourage teamwork and lead as an example in creating a harmonious environment.
- Ensure all administrative processes involving personnel are handled on a timely basis (i.e., performance evaluations, salary reviews, time sheets, change of status forms, etc.)
- Determine transitions and promotions for on-site personnel.
- File reports regarding any work-related injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of all community transactions and submit on timely basis (i.e., rent rolls, delinquency reports, move-ins/move-outs, accounts payable, order office supplies, etc.)
- Prepare annual budgets and income projections in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure that all rents and late fees/check charges are collected, posted, and deposited in a timely manner.
- Review, code, and approve invoices for payments.
- Make daily bank deposits.
Requirements
- The position requires a minimum of 3+ years of property management experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply logical thinking principles to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate courses of action.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively interact with team members, residents, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Achieve Fair Housing certification before interaction with prospects or residents.
- Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as community software applications.
- Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner throughout the workday and/or whenever present in the community.
- Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook.
Preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- College degree preferred
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM)
- Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred
