Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit local partners to support and amplify a health and wellness account at in-person events/online
• Keep apprised of local news to spot timely opportunities or topical issues that could impact community outreach and messaging
• Be a collaborative team player and provide regular outreach updates on weekly internal and client meetings
• Work with the Community Engagement, Digital, Earned, and Paid Media teams to assess and implement cross-team strategies to maximize outreach efforts, address client needs, and resolve issues that arise day-to-day

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in community engagement and digital outreach at a local and/or regional level
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to interface with government, health care, and business professionals
• Excellent communication and public presentation skills.
• Must be energetic and proactive, someone who welcomes a challenge and is able to work in a fluid environment
• A self-starter with the ability to independently identify and act on areas of improvement
• Highly organized and experienced in handling multiple requests/tasks at a given time

Preferred

• Existing strong, positive relationships with California-based community organizations
• Health care or workforce development experience a plus
• Familiarity with government culture and practice
• Ability to rapidly learn and understand new systems
• Mac, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp knowledge.
