Job Description
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop clear, engaging, and informative content for various platforms, including websites, newsletters, social media, and press releases.
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with leadership to design and implement effective communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets; and coordinate press releases.
- Internal Communications: Facilitate effective communication within the organization through newsletters, announcements, and other channels.
- Social Media Management: Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence; create and curate content that engages followers.
- Event Support: Assist in planning and promoting internal and external events, ensuring effective communication before, during, and after events.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze communication efforts and provide regular reports on effectiveness and engagement metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Design, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in communication or public relations roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Working knowledge of graphic software – Adobe and Canva.
Preferred
- Familiarity with graphic design and multimedia content creation.
- Experience in crisis communication.
- Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies.
