Support a bipartisan communications team by producing social, press, email, and website content for a remote volunteer role.

  • Produce content for social accounts, press outreach, and email campaigns.
  • Strong writing skills and multi-task organization are essential.
  • Fully remote, flexible hours with division exposure across Social, Press, Email, Website, and Design.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce content for and help manage our LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok accounts.
  • Write press releases and conduct outreach to newspapers, TV, radio, and podcasts.
  • Draft emails to our network and help manage our contact list.
  • Help edit our website in Framer.
  • Design flyers, presentations, and social media graphics using Canva, PowerPoint, and other platforms.
  • Interns may be assigned to one of five divisions: Social Media, Press, Email/SMS Campaigns, Website, Design.
  • DMV-based interns may be asked to assist with in-person events such as Hill Days or advocacy meetings on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidates will have experience in social media, press, communications, and/or web design and possess strong, clear writing skills.
  • Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of following through on multiple assignments.

Preferred

  • Experience with Framer.
  • Experience using Canva, PowerPoint, and other design platforms.
