Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning of multiple simultaneous events for a U.S. Army client.
  • Assist with coordination and execution of logistics for in-person and virtual events.
  • Design, develop, and produce a variety of internal and external communications and events materials.
  • Apply detail-oriented skills, balance priorities, and contribute to a team that fosters creativity and growth.
  • Maintain a driven, collaborative, and strategic outlook, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Apply specific functional knowledge, as well as working and general industry knowledge.
  • Develop or contribute solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Work independently with some guidance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the strategic communications field
  • 2+ years of experience with event planning and execution
  • Experience supporting and executing in-person and virtual meetings and events
  • Experience supporting spe cia l events at the local, regional, and national levels
  • Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and events, prioritize as necessary, and deliver to a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to work across organizational levels and make complex subjects easily understandable
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred

  • Experience working in an Army or other DoW environment
  • Experience supporting and executing international events
  • Knowledge of AP style
  • Ability to work individually and in a collaborative team environment
  • Possession of excellent listening, observation, analytical, problem recognition, and problem-solving skills
  • Secret clearance
