Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Apply and maintain FAPA’s brand guidelines consistently across all digital and print communications.
  • Guide local chapters on their usage of the brand guidelines.
  • Create all graphics, videos and visual assets for social media, publications, advocacy campaigns, development campaigns, events, and other organizational needs.
  • Develop and adapt policy-related content for social media, publications, email communications, FAPA’s website, and other communication platforms.
  • Translate policies into clear, concise, and engaging visual-driven digital content across different media.
  • Collaborate with policy team to ensure accuracy and consistency in communications.
  • Create events and promotional collateral for all events, and campaigns (including program handbook, digital flyers, social media posts, and as needed).
  • Manage FAPA’s day-to-day social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X and LinkedIn, Line.
  • Draft, adapt, schedule, and publish platform-specific content, including captions, short-form videos, and other multimedia content to maximize engagement and advance FAPA’s advocacy goals.
  • Support rapid-response communications and live social media coverage and posting during events, campaigns, congressional actions, and advocacy initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Canva, Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, or comparable design tools
  • Strong video editing, and multimedia storytelling
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with strong editorial judgement
  • Familiarity with website content management systems and email marketing platforms
  • Strong understanding of U.S.-Taiwan relations and U.S. legislative processes, with the ability to identify and translate key policy developments into well-designed content
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Project management
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Graphic Design, International Relations, Political Science, or related fields
