About RxGPT Health

RxGPT Health is building an AI-native platform for hospitals and care teams. This is not a generic chatbot, but a model-scale intelligence layer designed to power clinical and operational workflows. The focus is on automating documentation, routing, administrative workflows, and contextual decision support so healthcare professionals can focus more on patients and less on systems.

This role is for a true co-founder who will own the AI architecture, product engine, and technical direction as the CTO of a foundational AI product. The expectation is to think beyond APIs and interfaces, and operate at the level of infrastructure, evaluation, safety, and scalability.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a high-potential, AI-first technologist with up to 5 years of total work experience and strong depth in AI, ML, or Generative AI.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered systems, including RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, orchestration layers, and agentic workflows. You should have experience taking AI products from concept to production and understand how to build systems that are reliable, observable, and scalable.

A PhD in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field is a strong advantage, especially if you have experience translating research into production-grade systems. We value individuals who can operate at the intersection of research and real-world deployment.

Role Overview

As Co-Founder and CTO, you will define and lead the AI architecture of the platform end-to-end. This includes ownership of the prompt layer, orchestration stack, retrieval systems, tooling infrastructure, and overall system intelligence.

You will build secure, auditable, and enterprise-grade AI systems suitable for healthcare environments. You will also work closely with the founder on product strategy, go-to-market decisions, and fundraising, clearly articulating the technical vision and AI moat.

This is not a traditional SaaS CTO role. It is a role focused on building AI-first infrastructure embedded deeply into healthcare workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of the core AI layer, including LLM orchestration, retrieval systems, tools, memory, and context handling. Build robust RAG pipelines and knowledge systems tailored to clinical and operational use cases. Develop agentic workflows that automate documentation, routing, and administrative tasks.

Design and implement evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and safety mechanisms to minimize hallucination and ensure reliability in a healthcare setting. Translate advanced AI concepts and research into production-ready systems that deliver real-world impact.

Own the end-to-end technology stack including cloud infrastructure, APIs, data pipelines, observability, and system reliability. Build scalable, modular, and multi-tenant systems capable of serving hospitals and enterprise clients.

Ensure high standards for security, privacy, and compliance, including HIPAA-aligned architecture, auditability, access control, and secure data handling.

Build and lead a high-quality engineering team, establishing a culture of ownership, experimentation, and strong execution. Mentor engineers across AI, backend, and product domains.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The candidate should have 4–5 years of core experience in AI, ML, or Generative AI, with total work experience not exceeding approximately 5 years. Strong hands-on experience with LLM systems, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows is essential.

You should have experience taking AI products from prototype to production, with strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar technologies, and familiarity with modern cloud environments.

A PhD in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline is a strong plus, particularly if combined with a track record of applied research, experimentation, and production deployment.

Experience in healthcare, healthtech, or regulated environments is beneficial but not mandatory. Familiarity with vector databases, observability tools, and enterprise SaaS systems is advantageous.

Compensation

This is a co-founder role with equity-only compensation until funding is secured or a defined milestone is achieved. Founding equity will be aligned with contribution and experience, with standard vesting terms.

Cash compensation will begin after a successful funding round, achievement of meaningful revenue milestones, or a board-approved trigger.

This role requires comfort with early-stage risk and a high level of ownership.
