Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand client needs, project strategies, and key win themes.
• Help position Virginia’s value proposition through tailored research, content, and project strategies.
• Coordinate the development of client deliverables, including data, narratives, and visuals.
• Review and integrate content into compelling client-facing materials.
• Manage project timelines and deliverable requirements.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality, branding, and client standards.
• Conduct research and analysis using a variety of data sources.
• Support project strategy and respond to client research requests.
• Translate data and analytical findings into clear, usable content.
• Contribute to knowledge management and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience developing client deliverables, such as experience as a proposal coordinator, business developer, marketing specialist, copywriter, editor, or in an equivalent role.
• Equivalent combinations of education and professional experience, including internships, will be considered.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and data into compelling content.
• Experience conducting research and analysis using a variety of data sources.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities.
• Strong design sense and attention to detail.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.

Preferred

• Ability to visually represent data in creative ways.
• Knowledge of InDesign and/or other Adobe tools.
• Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM platforms and project management tools.
• Knowledge of economic development or regional/urban planning.
• Familiarity with Virginia’s economy.
