Roam is a local action feed built for people who actually want to do something, not just scroll. It connects Houston residents with food drops, fitness, events, and neighborhood happenings nearby in real time. You see it, you claim it, you show up. Houston is our first city, and we're building the founding community from the ground up.
The Role:
This is not a social media job. This is a boots-on-the-ground role.
You'll be the first face of Roam on your campus, talking to real people, getting them signed up, and building real buzz in your area before launch. We're starting with one ambassador and expanding from there, so the first person helps shape how this runs.
We're looking for someone at one of these campuses:
— Rice University → Montrose cluster
— University of Houston Downtown → The Heights cluster
— Texas Southern University → Midtown cluster
What You'll Actually Do
— Work 4 hours a day around your class schedule
— Talk to students, gym-goers, and locals, and get them signed up on Roam
— Show up at campus events, fitness spots, and food locations in your area
— Set a daily target for how many people you plan to sign up
— Send a short end-of-day note (2–3 sentences) on what you hit vs your target
— Give honest weekly feedback on what’s working and what isn’t
What We're Looking For
— Currently enrolled at Rice, UHD, or TSU
— Well-connected on campus, not just online, but in real life
— Someone who finishes what they start and doesn’t need to be chased
— Comfortable starting conversations with strangers
— Active on Instagram or TikTok is a plus, not a requirement
No marketing degree needed. No experience required. We just need someone who knows their campus, is trusted by their peers, and cares about hitting their numbers.
Pay Structure
— Weekly base pay + incentives based on performance
— Bonus for every verified sign-up above your daily quota
— Flexible hours around your school schedule
