Business Engagement Coordinator -Rhode Island
Better Business Bureau (BBB), Eastern New England is a values-driven nonprofit committed to advancing trust in the local business community.
We’re looking for a Business Engagement Coordinator to connect with business executives, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and small businesses in Rhode Island. This role is perfect for someone who is self-motivated, relationship-focused, and excited to help local businesses thrive through outreach, education, and event engagement.
This is a 32-hour workweek position with a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening and weekend events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with local entrepreneurs and small business owners
- Develop and implement engagement strategies to support BBB’s outreach and membership growth
- Represent BBB at business events, networking meetups, and educational workshops
- Promote BBB programs, benefits, and community trust initiatives
- Help plan and host BBB-sponsored events and business functions
- Drive a BBB-branded vehicle to meetings and events (must have a safe, secure parking location)
Who You Are:
- Experienced in community engagement, outreach, or business development (2+ years preferred)
- Excellent communicator and natural relationship-builder
- Bilingual - Spanish Speaking Preferred
- Organized, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented
- Passionate about supporting small businesses and promoting ethical business practices
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
