Job Description

This role is an office position based in Louisville, KY.

What the Role Is

The Brand Finance & Analytics Manager serves as a senior strategic finance and analytics partner to assigned Brand Team(s). This role integrates commercial, consumer, financial, and operational information into clear recommendations that improve decision-making across portfolio strategy, pricing, investment, innovation, and performance improvement. The Manager owns the analytical narrative behind brand performance, proactively surfaces risks and growth opportunities, and develops actionable recommendations that improve brand value, profitability, and sustainable growth.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to Brand Directors/Managers, Commercial Finance, and cross-functional leadership; frame business questions, clarify tradeoffs, and recommend actions rather than simply providing data.
  • Lead the analytical and financial agenda for recurring brand-management touchpoints, including Quarterly Brand Health reviews, the Annual Operating Plan, high-level strategic brand planning, tactical monthly operating reviews, Leadership Executive quarterly business reviews, and ad hoc partnership with Brand Management.
  • Integrate financial, commercial, consumer, customer, supply, and competitive signals into an actionable view of brand and portfolio performance.
  • Own an integrated understanding of the full brand P&L, including revenue, pricing, discounting, cost of sales, and A&P. Partner with Brand to establish pricing standards and manage A&P; with Commercial Finance to diagnose discounting and activity drivers; and with Operations Finance to plan and understand cost-of-sales drivers.
  • Use syndicated data, including Nielsen and NABCA, together with internal depletion, shipment, and inventory data to understand brand performance and the flow of the business through the three-tier landscape.
  • Navigate ambiguous business questions where data may be incomplete, inconsistent, or distributed across multiple sources; evaluate alternatives, develop a sound point of view, and build trusted recommendations over time.
  • Lead annual planning, forecasting, and long-range planning, translating performance trends and strategic choices into credible financial outlooks and decision-ready scenarios.
  • Build and challenge business cases for innovation, portfolio, programming, pricing, and investment decisions; articulate assumptions, risks, alternatives, and value implications.
  • Guide pricing, promotion, pack, channel, and resource-allocation choices through analysis of market dynamics, consumer behavior, competitive moves, and expected return.
  • Evaluate brand investment effectiveness, recommend improvements, and maintain a disciplined view of A&P and other brand investments.
  • Lead cross-functional analyses and influence execution; communicate insights and recommendations clearly in business reviews and senior-leadership presentations.

Who You Are…

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive CPG, commercial finance, brand analytics, or strategy experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and senior-leadership decisions through structured analysis, sound business judgment, and clear communication.
  • Strong business and financial acumen across the full brand P&L, including revenue, pricing, discounting, cost of sales, A&P, ROI, and scenario modeling.
  • Confidence working with syndicated, commercial, financial, and operational data, including Nielsen, NABCA, IWSR, SipSource, Numerator, depletion, shipment, and inventory data.
  • Ability to synthesize incomplete or disparate data sets into a concise, relevant point of view and recommendation.
  • Executive-ready written and verbal communication; able to make complex analysis understandable and actionable.
  • Influence and stakeholder-management capability in a matrix environment; comfortable building trust with partners over time.

Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:

  • Brand P&L ownership or direct brand-management partnership.
  • Experience with Nielsen, IRI/Circana, or comparable market and consumer data.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar analytical visualization tools.
