Job Description
Responsibilities
- The Athletic Information Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing communication, information, and digital media initiatives for the Athletics Department. This includes developing and maintaining athletic websites, producing and distributing electronic newsletters, managing social media campaigns, and ensuring accurate statistical reporting in compliance with NJCAA and institutional standards.
- In addition, the coordinator supports live event operations by assisting with game management and ensuring that all operational and administrative requirements for home and away contests are executed efficiently.
- The role plays a key part in promoting the visibility of the athletics program, enhancing fan engagement, and delivering a professional, high-quality experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators.
- The Athletic Information Coordinator works collaboratively with Athletic staff, student workers, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information and seamless execution of digital and live event operations.
- Ensure all information requirements for the Athletics Department are complete, accurate, and compliant with NJCAA, conference, College, and other external organization standards.
- Manage and maintain all statistical reporting for conference and internal College requirements, ensuring deadlines and compliance standards are consistently met.
- Submit student-athlete and team awards, honors, and recognitions to relevant governing bodies throughout the academic year.
- Update and manage the Athletics Department website, ensuring schedules, rosters, statistics, news, and other relevant content are current and accurate.
- Manage and update NJCAA Region, conference, and other affiliated athletic websites.
- Create and coordinate digital content, including text, images, and video, to engage students, fans, and community members, and promote attendance at athletic events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience with media productions and marketing of athletic programs through all social media platforms.
- First Aid and CPR certification required, training available.
- Previous experience with developing creative promotions.
- Computer literate.
- Proven work experience as a social media coordinator.
- Expertise on multiple social media platforms.
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video).
- Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and be proactive.
- Awareness of, and appreciation for, individual uniqueness and diversity.
Preferred
- First Aid and CPR certification required, training available.
- Previous experience with developing creative promotions.
- Experience with media productions and marketing of athletic programs through all social media platforms.
