Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Execution: Support brand indication lead in shaping and delivering patient-focused strategies, storytelling, and positioning aligned to brand and disease state priorities.
  • Omnichannel Marketing: Design and implement content and channel strategies that deliver personalized, timely, and clear communications across digital, social, and in-person channels.
  • Patient Education & Community Engagement: Lead disease awareness and education initiatives; build relationships with patient and caregiver communities, advocacy groups, and thought leaders to co-create meaningful solutions.
  • Insights & Analytics : Partner with Commercial Insights to translate patient journey insights into actionable strategies; measure campaign effectiveness and optimize tactics to improve patient experience and outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Legal, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs to ensure compliant review and approval of patient-facing tactics and materials.
  • Align with Patient Advocacy and global partners on conferences, events, and co-branded initiatives.
  • Vendor & Budget Management : Manage agency partners to deliver high-quality tactics on time and within budget. Track and manage patient engagement budget with accountability for spend and ROI.
  • Team & Leadership: Represent the voice of the patient across the organization, influence without authority, and mentor junior marketers within the Patient Marketing Community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Science, Marketing, or Business preferred); advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience (rare disease, omnichannel experience strongly preferred; neurology, immunology or rheumatology a plus).
  • Proven track record in brand launch, patient marketing, and/or patient advocacy collaboration.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory & compliance requirements in patient marketing.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and empathetic mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, including some weekends.

Preferred

  • Education, Experience and Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree (science or business degree preferred); advanced degree a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing or relevant experience
  • - Experience in rare disease marketing and omni-channel media preferred
  • Proven brand launch and management experience
  • Action oriented, with strong project management and organization skills
  • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to achieve results
  • Understands legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical industry
