Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Scientific Communications Lead to support strategic planning and execution of Medical Affairs congress activities for priority Dermatology/Immunology assets. This role will focus heavily on US congress planning, scientific communication strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and compliant medical engagement activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong Medical Affairs and scientific communications experience within the biopharma industry, along with expertise managing large medical congresses in a matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of integrated US congress strategies
  • Drive congress readiness, scientific content planning, and onsite execution support
  • Coordinate scientific symposia, booth content, insight collection, and post-congress reporting
  • Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Manage timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and vendor relationships
  • Ensure all activities remain compliant with medical/legal/regulatory standards
  • Support broader scientific communications initiatives for the therapeutic area team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced scientific or healthcare degree preferred (MS, PhD, PharmD, MD)
  • 5+ years (PhD candidates) or 7+ years (Master’s candidates) of Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, Medical Education, or Congress Strategy experience
  • Experience leading large medical congress planning and execution
  • Strong project/program management and stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent scientific writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a global matrix environment
  • Strong understanding of compliant medical/scientific content review processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dermatology and/or Immunology experience
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint
