Job Description
Responsibilities
- The Associate Director, Donor Fundraising Strategy and Innovation develops, implements, and manages effective and industry leading strategies and techniques for solicitation and engagement of individual donors to grow short- and long-term membership revenue through an audience-first approach in alignment with the overall Membership program.
- They develop integrated, efficient, and effective audience-first strategies to individual donors through all available marketing channels.
- They are responsible for development, evaluation, testing and iteration of strategies for all identified Membership Audiences as well as identifying new and emerging opportunities at an organizational and industry level.
- They evaluate and launch new fundraising innovation approaches, keeping apprised of industry opportunities and evaluate potential and success through risk/reward analysis.
- They exercise proactive and anticipatory thinking and make experience based, and data driven decisions.
- They collaborate closely across the department on audience strategies and oversee the development and maintenance of strategic documentation.
- They work closely with internal department leaders, and external key stakeholders, including senior management to ensure alignment of strategies to department and organization vision.
- They directly manage and align staff efforts to match priorities set by senior management.
- Informs, monitors, and acts on holistic reporting and analytics at the audience level.
- Leads decisions for all Membership audiences within defined scope of role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years related experience.
- Experience in the development and deployment of direct response strategies
- Experience in planning and delivering budgetary responsibilities.
- Experience managing and supervising a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience developing, managing and implementing multiple projects and strategic goals.
- Experience working across complex organizations.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple organizational levels.
- Experience, coursework, or other training in principles, practices, procedures, and evolving trends in direct response fundraising.
