Playing over 7200 yards, Highland Ridge was designed by world renowned architect, Dave Harmon, who patterned it after Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand, one of the Top 200 Golf Courses in the world. Highlands Ridge is a past recipient of the best golf course in Central Florida.
Position Overview
The Assistant Superintendent works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to plan, execute, and oversee daily maintenance operations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, proactive, and eager to take on leadership responsibilities.
- Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field
- Minimum 1–3 years of golf course maintenance experience
- Experience with irrigation systems preferred
- Leadership qualities in managing a crew of maintenance workers preferred.
- Floridia pesticide application license preferred, or ability to attain one within 3 months.
- Strong understanding of warm season turfgrass management (Bermuda, Paspalum preferred)
- Experience with irrigation systems (Toro or Rain Bird helpful)
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays as needed, minimum of 55 hours per week
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team focused attitude
