Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategy • Develop editorial calendars and content strategy plans for a variety of initiatives including, but not limited to, individual events, institutional milestones, educational and social impact programs, branding, development needs, and digital product launches, in collaboration with colleagues across the organization. • Curate content pillars and ensure balance of institutional messaging. • Ensure all content is produced maintaining optimal SEO/AEO, keyword, information architecture, and usability best practices – and that it is in line with the overarching digital strategy. • Identify opportunities to engage audiences with timely themes. • Identify KPIs and evaluate content and platforms based on metrics, trends, and qualitative observations. • Evaluate and recommend emerging social media platforms.
  • Leadership • Supervise the work of multiple team members, who are closely involved with day-to-day social media content creation, posting, routing, monitoring, and engaging with audiences. • Lead collaborative cross-departmental campaign kick-off conversations and brainstorms. • Oversee the lifecycle of content creation from ideation, development, delivery, budgeting, evaluation, and optimization. Types of content include organic and paid social media campaigns, online articles, and short-form and long-form video. • Be accountable for accuracy of content and adhering to institutional voice and style in listing artists, repertoire, and performances in social media posts. • Ensure the team is responding to and engaging with audience members across platforms. Escalate customer service issues and feedback as needed. • Liaise with freelancers and external agencies.
  • Communication • Provide regular reporting and audience feedback to internal stakeholders. • Represent the perspective of the online audience in support of content development. • Respond in an appropriate timeframe to internal requests for social media exposure. Provide thoughtful recommendations to colleagues and partners. • In coordination with Public Relations and Artistic, coordinate outreach to artists/artist agents, digital influencers, and aggregator sites for engagement and marketing campaigns. • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent copywriting and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Expertise in engaging with digital audiences on social media platforms with creativity and meaning.
  • Strong understanding of social media, SEO, and copywriting best practices.
  • Understanding how content may be optimized to drive conversions.
  • Knowledge of, and passion for classical music, as well as other forms of music.
  • Strong knowledge of social media analytics and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience with or understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Experience with design software, especially Adobe Creative Suite.
