AmeriCorps Fellows serve alongside local organizations to build stronger volunteer programs, develop new initiatives, expand outreach, and strengthen services that benefit our community. Fellows help create lasting improvements that allow organizations to continue growing long after their service term ends. Member Duties : Build Organizational Capacity such as, expanding existing programs and services, developing or improving systems, creating new initiatives that address community needs, and developing sustainable tools. Strengthen Volunteer Engagement as a strategy for increasing community impact and long-term sustainability of an organization. Fellows should recruit new volunteers and improve retention, coordinate volunteer projects, and track volunteer participation and outcomes. Expand Community Impact by helping organizations increase their reach, so that more individuals have access to programs and services. This could include increasing participation in existing programs, removing barriers to participation, improving outreach and marketing, and building partnerships. Commit to Continuous Learning and Civic Leadership by actively participating in required AmeriCorps trainings, service site training opportunities, professional certifications, and monthly fellow development meetings.
