Job Description Role: AI Engineer (Contractor) - Planning Agent Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with a possible 3-month extension based on performance. Description: We are looking for an external contractor to join our Planning Agent team. This focused engagement is 100% dedicated to the development and launch of the Planning Agent. The ideal candidate should possess product-level development expertise in GenAI-powered solutions and will be responsible for consulting and providing recommendations on building world-class, scaled Agentic AI. Key Roles & Responsibilities Product Enhancement & Strategy: Collaborate with the development team to enhance the usability and technical capability of the Planning Agent in alignment with the overall product requirement. Identify and qualify technical business opportunities, address key technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers. Technical AI Leadership: Provide agentic AI expertise to support the technical development of MiQ's Planning Agent product. Design detailed technical requirements, create compelling demos and proof-of-concept work, and partner with Product to prioritise and implement optimal technical solutions. Architecture & Integration: Recommend and design integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure necessary to implement a unified and seamless user experience across various MiQ products. Scaling & Orchestration: Advise on and drive the technical implementation of the Planning Agent's orchestration framework, respective data model integration, and the overall strategy for scaling the solution from MVP to a robust production system. Core Development Initiatives: Drive the technical development and integration of advanced features such as Knowledge Graphs, guided prompting techniques, and TAU integration to enhance the agent's capabilities. Performance Optimisation: Provide technical expertise to enhance the overall efficiency, speed and relevancy of the Planning Agent's response, ensuring structured output aligned with specific business contexts. First Month Focus: Conduct a thorough technical audit of the existing Planning Agent, documenting its strengths and identifying potential weaknesses related to production scalability. Propose and evaluate potential solutions for maturing the Planning Agent, including alternative architectures or technology stacks that can increase the breadth of input complexity, reduce response time, and improve response structure. Based on audit findings and recommendations, help prioritise and define the roadmap for technical enhancements and lead the effort to resolve critical technical blockers. Pay Transparency For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to CA and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $45,000-$60,000. This range may vary for positions outside of New York as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.
