Job Summary

Support end-to-end podcast production by filming and editing long-form episodes, managing equipment and RAW assets, and delivering polished clips for distribution.

  • Video/Audio Production: Capture and edit long-form podcast episodes with seamless post-production collaboration.
  • Asset & Equipment Management: Set up gear, upload RAW files, and maintain organized workflows for quick editing turns.
  • Storytelling & Clips: Create highlight clips and ensure engaging visuals that translate biotech stories to a broad audience.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Filming & Content Capture – Combination of editing remotely recorded podcasts and in-person recording sessions as needed (at most 1x/week)
  • Technical Equipment Management – Set up, manage, and operate video and audio equipment to capture studio-quality content.
  • Post-Production Collaboration – Work with the audio engineer to align video and sound for seamless final production.
  • RAW File Management – After each session, promptly upload RAW files to a shared Google Drive for editing.
  • Long-Form Video Editing – Edit full-length podcast episodes, ensuring professional and engaging final output.
  • Trailer & Clip Editing – Use Editing Software to create highlight clips for marketing, social media, and promotional use.

Requirements

  • Experience in Videography & Editing – A portfolio showcasing past work in video production and editing.
  • Proficiency with Descript & Adobe Premiere Pro – Experience using Descript or other editing software for podcast/video editing is a big plus.
  • Commitment & Consistency – Ability to commit to ~5 hours per week of activties
  • Detail-Oriented & Organized – Strong file management and adherence to deadlines.
  • Team Player – Works well with producers, editors, and hosts to ensure smooth workflows.

Preferred

  • Basic Audio Editing Knowledge – Not required, but helpful for post-production.
  • Strong Visual Storytelling – Ability to enhance episodes with compelling visuals and edits.
