Job Summary

Drive a FOR CREDIT ONLY Social Media Intern role with the Worcester Railers HC, gaining hands-on experience across game days, marketing, and community programs.

  • Attend every home Railers game and community events while supporting ticket sales, social media, and brand representation.
  • Must be a current college student earning college credit and available 15+ hours weekly, including nights and weekends.
  • Preferred studies in Sport Management, Marketing, or Graphic Design with strong Microsoft Office skills.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Attend every Railers HC home game + additional team functions
  • Knowledgeable in video editing softwares & high quality video production
  • Represent the Worcester Railers brand and tables
  • Work office hours during the week and get experience in ticket sales, corporate fulfillment, social media management, business administration, marketing, and more
  • Attend community events and perform as the mascot if needed
  • Interns have the opportunity to volunteer at Skate to Success, our flagship community program that takes place Tuesday mornings at the Worcester Ice Center
  • Notable Game Day Roles: Set Up/Break Down of Concourse, Fan Assistance Table, Chuck A Puck Tables, Kids Club, Production Assistant, Credential Table, Mascot Handler, Youth Hockey

Requirements

  • Must be current college student
  • Must receive college credit
  • Available to work a minimum of 15 hours a week, including nights and weekends
  • Available to work every home game during the Fall/Winter semester
  • Must have reliable transportation and live in the Worcester or surrounding areas

Preferred

  • Pursuit of Sport Management, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communication, and/or business degree preferred
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of projects
  • Basic knowledge of ice hockey encouraged but not required
