Job Summary

Own end-to-end video production for CMN stories from shoots to post, ensuring brand aligned storytelling and polished assets.

  • Own video editing, audio, motion graphics, and color work to deliver assets that meet brand standards.
  • Coordinate with producers, designers, and partners to plan shoots, repurpose content, and archive assets for reuse.
  • Influence storytelling with ongoing industry trend awareness and best practices for nonprofit video.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Video Editing and Post-Production – Sort and manage footage, perform audio clean-up, titling, and color grading to deliver polished, professional video.
  • Audio Production – direct voice-over talent, mix audio, and edit music to support storytelling objectives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with producers, designers, and stakeholders to understand project scope and produce outcomes that align with the CMN brand.
  • Content Output and Distribution – Deliver broadcast-quality content in appropriate formats to the asset library, partners, and other platforms. Ensure all videos meet quality standards and brand guidelines.
  • Assist producers with interview setup and field production tasks, direct shoots and interviews, and coordinate with hired crew.
  • Create motion graphics to enhance storytelling and visual appeal.
  • Organize and archive media files efficiently within the server.
  • Repurpose existing content for new stories and use cases.
  • Support company events and presentations with edited media.
  • Stay current by attending industry events, conventions, and workshops.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of video editing experience using Adobe Premiere and other video editing tools.
  • Experience capturing, organizing, and editing video footage.
  • Ability to execute full post-production workflows and deliver high-quality digital assets.
  • Experience collaborating on creative content in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
  • Camera operation experience
  • After Effects experience
  • Experience working with children (ages 5-14) and their families.
  • Experience in nonprofit, agency, or mission-driven media.
  • Familiarity with CMN brand voice and storytelling style.
