Job Summary

Own integrated ticketing and fan engagement marketing for BGSU Athletics, coordinating email, SMS, and website content to drive engagement and revenue with fans, donors, and coaches collaboration.

  • Email & SMS Campaigns: Own segmentation, targeted messaging, and performance across ticket sales and newsletters.
  • Content & Promotion Ops: Align with Creative, Video, and Strategic Communications to promote and inform, pushing ticketing pages and promos.
  • Cross-Functional & Stewardship: Partner with Falcon Club and coaches to drive fundraising, engagement, and revenue signals.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee email marketing efforts for the BGSU Ticket Office, which includes but not limited to, development of email campaigns and ticketing communications, and proper segmenting of customer lists for targeted messaging
  • Examples: Ticket Sales campaigns, weekly newsletter, Know Before You Go
  • Oversee our mass texting system to communicate to fans
  • Develop, post, and update ticket informational pages on website
  • Work with Strategic Communications, Video Services, Creative Services and Marketing staffs to effectively promote and market BGSU Athletics with a strong emphasis on engagement and revenue generation
  • Coordinate with Falcon Club on email/text messaging to donors that drives fundraising, engagement, and stewardship
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with coaches and fellow staff members
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Ticket Operations Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Sport Management, Marketing, or other related field)
  • At least one year of sport industry experience in marketing, ticketing, or game operations OR one year of email marketing experience
  • Can be at the undergraduate level
  • Must be a dependable, punctual, and trustworthy self-starter
  • Ability to work independently on several projects in a fast-paced, rigorous environment
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, email marketing, as well as a variety of social media platforms is preferred
