Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive marketing strategy, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution in the K12 market.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure products and communications resonate with librarians and K12 decision-makers.
  • Bridge customer understanding with marketing programs to drive awareness, engagement, revenue growth, and retention.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for K12 to drive growth and loyalty.
  • Align marketing plans with company goals, market trends, and customer needs with business leadership.
  • Shape product roadmaps with product management based on insights.
  • Lead positioning and GTM for key products and brand initiatives in partnership with Product.
  • Champion a unified brand while tailoring campaigns to each ICP/target persona.
  • Collaborate with Product, Corporate Marketing, Demand Gen, Sales, and Customer Success for cohesive storytelling.
  • Own and respond to marketing inquiries and prepare action-oriented presentations on plans and outcomes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership, ideally in K12 education, publishing, libraries, or related sectors.
  • Proven success managing strategic marketing across multiple customer segments.
  • Strong understanding of library systems, educators, literacy trends, and book buying workflows.
  • Ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies with measurable results.
  • Successful track record launching new products and growing brand presence.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders while delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with influence across levels.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment with intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong analytical skills to leverage data for actionable strategies.
  • Passion for reading, learning, and the library community.

Preferred

  • eCommerce experience is highly desired but not required.
  • Experience in product marketing is highly desired but not required.
