Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive content strategy aligned with organizational goals and audience needs.
  • Create and manage a content calendar to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality content across communication platforms.
  • Establish and maintain content standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistent messaging and quality across all communications products.
  • Research and write press releases, articles, captions, website content, and infographics that effectively communicate program initiatives and outcomes.
  • Translate complex technical and innovation-focused topics into engaging narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Design and develop communication and marketing materials, including presentations, briefings, and basic graphics, for internal and external audiences.
  • Edit and proofread written materials, including technical documentation, to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable style guidelines and operational security (OPSEC) requirements.
  • Ensure all communication products align with organizational branding, messaging, and communication standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, program teams, and stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy of communications products.
  • Tailor communication materials to specific target audiences to effectively demonstrate program value and impact.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, public affairs, content development, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Experience producing long-form content, articles, and presentation materials.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with digital communication tools and collaboration platforms such as Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field required.
