Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and oversee end-to-end execution of carbon free energy communications strategies and programs
• Have extremely high standards and judgement with the ability to deliver strategic communications counsel to Amazon senior leaders and executives on both short-and-long-term challenges and opportunities.
• Work cross-functionally to plan and execute communications campaigns
• Manage reputational issues with internal stakeholders and members of the media
• Develop and strengthen relationships with sustainability, business, and trade media
• Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with high judgment and professionalism
• Manage external communications agencies and budgets

Requirements

• 10+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred

• Energy communications experience
• Experience planning high visibility participation in sustainability and energy events including New York Climate Week, London Climate Action Week, and CERA Week
• Sustainability communications experience
• Crisis communications and issues management experience
• The ability to work autonomously at times and roll up sleeves to get the job done
• Outstanding attention to detail and bias for action
• Thrives in a collaborative environment with experience working on large or global teams
• Strong judgment and ability to make decisions in real-time
• Executive thought leadership experience
• Strong AI skills

• The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
