Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits and promotes integrity, respect, and authenticity in all interactions internal or external to TVA Communications and in performance of assigned duties.
  • Demonstrates strong collaboration, open-mindedness, and partnership with teammates within and outside the TVA Communications organization.
  • Enhances and protects the TVA reputation and brand; builds understanding and support for the agency’s long-term strategy and enterprise priorities.
  • Consults with communicators, partners and stakeholders on brand strategy, strategic messaging and related issues.
  • Assists with the development of and may execute brand management plans designed to strengthen the TVA brand, generate business, increase customer loyalty, manage reputation and expand employee advocacy.
  • Helps promote uniformity and consistency of brand image and brand experience, reinforcing the accountability structure for internal teams and external partners.
  • Working with other Communications teams, along with other business units, identifies brand-building areas, creative approaches and new ways to execute efficiently and effectively.
  • Works with the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing, to translate data, metrics and insights to tell a compelling story.
  • Adopts value-centric messaging produced from centralized content team and create a roadmap plan for the continuous development of a cohesive brand message and brand/category presence.
  • Provides strategic guidance, coordinates and/or directly plans integrated marketing and communications campaigns utilizing various platforms including events, sponsorships, presentations, printed products, web, video, social media, email and other electronic and interactive mediums; measure and track results.

Requirements

  • Education –Bachelor’s degree in branding, marketing, communications, mathematics, research, statistics, social science, advertising or a related field.
  • Experience – At least five (5) years experience in corporate and/or agency environments. At least five (5) years experience in brand marketing, strategy development, writing/editing and material production or business equivalent. May require additional research experience. Experience measuring consumer perceptions and working with predictive analytics is a bonus. A proven track record of using data and analytics to support or drive marketing results and measuring ROI.
  • Certification/License, etc — None required.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — Must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills and be proactive at building relationships across teams. Highly creative. Forward thinking and able to present ideas and concepts to groups of all sizes. Able to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment. Track record in brand building and developing and implementing marketing strategies. Experience with campaign development and management. Results oriented with proven project management and change management skills. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements and essential job functions.

Preferred

  • Experience measuring consumer perceptions and working with predictive analytics is a bonus.
