Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and finalize high-volume, engaging social-first video content tailored for multiple platforms
  • Develop platform-native content involving scripting, shooting, editing, and staging to ensure maximum engagement
  • Perform sound mixing and color correction on all edits in accordance with brand and creative standards
  • Deliver rough cuts and final assets within deadlines, incorporating stakeholder feedback
  • Maintain and uphold Forbes's journalistic and brand standards across all content
  • Collaborate with the video team to produce platform-optimized social content derived from traditional Forbes video assets
  • Participate in pre-production and on-set workflows for social video shoots tied to editorial moments and franchise content
  • Support programming needs as directed by the Social Strategy team, aligning content with high-level social strategies
  • Provide social media support for internal campaigns, ensuring cohesive messaging and timely delivery
  • Monitor trending content and adapt quickly to create relevant social media videos that resonate with audiences

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of video editing experience in digital publishing, agency, or brand environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and Figma
  • Strong scripting, voiceover recording, and story-editing skills
  • Deep understanding of platform-specific features, algorithms, and best practices for Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and BlueSky
  • Experience with trending sounds, memes, challenges, and content formats for social relevance
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively
  • Strong editorial judgment with knowledge of news, politics, business, and pop culture
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Open to constructive feedback and flexible in a team-oriented environment
