Job Summary

Own the end-to-end video pipeline for the program, from concept through publish, coordinating shoots with faculty and students and iterating based on performance across YouTube, Shorts, Reels, and more.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and pitch video content ideas aligned with college priorities and campaigns
  • Plan and storyboard short-form and long-form video content
  • Shoot video on campus, at events, and in classrooms/labs as needed
  • Edit and produce finished video assets optimized for each platform’s format and audience
  • Post and manage publishing schedules across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other channels as directed
  • Track basic performance metrics and adjust content approach based on results
  • Coordinate with faculty, staff, and students to schedule shoots and gather subjects/content
  • Maintain a consistent visual and brand voice across all video content

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required (Bachelor’s in progress or completed is a plus)
  • Minimum 2 years of video production/editing experience
  • Portfolio or reel demonstrating prior work is required for consideration
  • Proficiency in at least one professional-grade video editing tool (e.g., Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar) tool is flexible, skill level is not
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific video formats and best practices (Shorts, Reels, etc.)
  • Ability to shoot and edit independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism — current students are encouraged to apply if they meet this bar
  • Must be able to work from the college’s campus office (this is not a remote position)

Preferred

  • Experience creating content for a brand or organization (not just personal/social content)
  • Familiarity with basic motion graphics or captioning tools
  • Experience working with diverse subjects/talent (students, faculty, staff) on camera
