Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize content across all major social media platforms to ensure branding and audience engagement.
  • Capture high-quality photos and shoot videos during events and departmental activities.
  • Edit videos using Adobe Creative Suite for polished social content.
  • Design eye-catching graphics using Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
  • Collaborate to plan and maintain the content calendar, schedule posts, and analyze performance.
  • Monitor trends, respond to interactions, and provide real-time support during crises.
  • Assist in strategies to grow followers and engagement within security guidelines.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and inform future strategies.
  • Stay informed about current events to ensure relevant messaging.
  • Work with public affairs and leadership to ensure consistent messaging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent).
  • Proven expertise with current social platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Photography and videography proficiency with professional cameras and equipment.
  • Advanced video editing skills with Adobe Premiere Pro and other Adobe tools.
  • Experience creating social media graphics and visual content.
  • Strong organizational skills for content calendar planning.
  • Ability to work in a secure, government environment; U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Public Trust clearance.

Preferred

  • 5+ years of social media management experience in marketing, public affairs, or government settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
