Job Summary

Support and grow JASC’s social presence by crafting content, posting daily, and running campaigns that reflect the organization’s mission and programs.

  • Content & channels: create posts, visuals, and videos for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Engagement & analytics: monitor audience conversations, respond thoughtfully, and track performance to inform campaigns.
  • Campaign alignment: collaborate with staff to plan social initiatives around JASC programs and events, maintaining brand voice.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The intern will assist in managing the organization's social media channels to boost community engagement and brand awareness.
  • Core responsibilities include content creation, daily posting on platforms, engaging with audiences, monitoring analytics, and developing social media campaigns to promote JASC programs and events.
  • The intern will collaborate with staff to ensure the alignment of social media activities with organizational goals, while maintaining the organization's tone and mission.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Skills in content creation and video editing
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools and experience in tracking performance metrics
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and adhere to deadlines
  • Pursuing or holding a degree in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related discipline is beneficial

Preferred

  • Passion for Japanese American culture and history is a plus
