Job Summary

Own on-the-fly filming and editing of social short-form content that turns real moments into polished, social-first clips, shaping hooks and storytelling to boost retention.

  • Capture in-the-moment footage and identify hooks, storylines, and b‑roll opportunities in real time.
  • Collaborate on concepts and workflows to maximize audience engagement across beauty, transformation, and creator culture.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Film short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
  • Capture natural, in-the-moment footage that still feels intentional
  • Help identify hooks, storylines, b-roll moments, and content opportunities in real time
  • Edit short-form videos optimized for pacing, retention, clarity, and emotional payoff
  • Help organize footage and improve the overall content workflow
  • Collaborate on content concepts, storytelling, and audience retention
  • Support beauty, hair, transformation, creator-life, and personal-brand content
  • Potentially help expand into longer-form YouTube content over time

Requirements

  • Experience filming and/or editing short-form social content
  • Strong understanding of Reels, TikTok, Shorts, hooks, pacing, and retention
  • Ability to capture real-life moments without making them feel forced or overly staged
  • Editing taste that feels polished, clean, modern, and social-first
  • Strong instincts around storytelling and emotional payoff
  • Comfortable filming in fast-paced, real environments
  • Organized, communicative, reliable, and easy to collaborate with
  • Able to work independently without needing every detail micromanaged
  • Interested in beauty, hair, transformation, creator culture, and personal branding
  • DaVinci Resolve experience is a strong plus, but open to Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or another professional workflow as long as the final output is clean, consistent, and optimized for social
