Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary hands-on-keyboard trader for all self-service programmatic activations, owning the daily setup, management, and optimization of campaigns.
  • Lead overall programmatic strategy across your assigned book of business, collaborating closely with the media strategy team to co-create plans, manage vendor relations, and align tactics with client KPIs.
  • Deploy and manage programmatic campaigns across multiple channels, including Display, Online Video (OLV), Connected TV (CTV), Audio, and emerging formats.
  • Establish, document, and continuously improve programmatic best practices, workflows, and standard operating procedures to support agency growth and operational excellence.
  • Proactively monitor campaign delivery and performance, independently identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving pacing, technical, and platform-related issues.
  • Analyze performance data in collaboration with the Analytics team to generate actionable insights and maximize results.
  • Work hand-in-hand with internal teams as a subject matter expert, comfortably speaking to programmatic capabilities and tech solutions in internal meetings.
  • Attend and confidently contribute to client-facing meetings, translating complex programmatic concepts and performance metrics into clear, strategic updates.

Requirements

  • Programmatic Trading Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on programmatic trading experience within an agency, brand, or trading desk environment.
  • Pharmaceutical Experience: Proven experience planning, executing, optimizing, and managing programmatic campaigns for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.
  • DSP Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience working within the PulsePoint DSP is required. Experience with additional healthcare-specific DSPs, as well as general-market DSPs, is considered a strong plus.
  • Omnichannel Programmatic Activation: Demonstrated experience deploying and managing campaigns across Display, Online Video (OLV), Connected TV (CTV), Audio, and emerging programmatic channels.
  • Programmatic Buying Knowledge: Strong understanding of Open Exchange (OE), Private Marketplaces (PMP), Preferred Deals, and Programmatic Guaranteed (PG), including when and how to leverage each approach to achieve campaign objectives.
  • Supply Strategy: Understanding of Supply Path Optimization (SPO), custom marketplaces, SSP strategy, and their impact on campaign efficiency and performance is a plus.
  • Data & Inventory Partners: Experience sourcing, evaluating, and leveraging third-party data providers and premium supply partners to support campaign strategy and execution.
  • Ad Tech & Measurement: Intermediate knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem, including ad technology platforms, campaign measurement solutions, and tracking methodologies.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance, identify optimization opportunities, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including PivotTables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, is required. Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and data environments (e.g., SQL, clean rooms) is a plus.

  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience managing or mentoring team members is a plus.
  • Experience with additional healthcare-specific DSPs, as well as general-market DSPs, is considered a strong plus.
