Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day medical leadership of multiple accounts, building credibility as a trusted partner for clients.
  • Critically review and guide content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand strategy.
  • Translate complex science into compelling communications that capture the “medical hook” of a brand.
  • Lead medically driven insights for pitches, crafting immersion sections and contributing to live presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — brand, strategy, creative, and engagement — to deliver impactful, audience-centric solutions.
  • Act as a mentor and guide for junior medical team members, fostering growth and high-quality work.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring emerging literature and industry developments, bringing fresh insights to clients and teams.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MS, MD, PhD, or PharmD) in a clinical or scientific discipline
  • Extensive experience (typically 6+ years) in medical communications or healthcare marketing, with a proven ability to lead medical strategy
  • Strong scientific expertise and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, audience-appropriate way
  • Strategic insight with a track record of aligning medical perspectives with client business objectives
  • Confidence leading client discussions, brand planning workshops, and cross-functional team interactions
  • Leadership skills to guide and mentor junior team members, while still excelling as an independent contributor
  • Acute attention to detail and the ability to anticipate needs, plan efficiently, and deliver under deadlines
