Drive AWS ASP executive communications and strategic messaging to tech and business audiences while leading a global team and coordinating with partners on thought leadership and program impact.

  • Manage a global team of executive communications managers and external engagement programs
  • Align with AWS PR, Marketing and SME teams on messaging and communication strategies
  • Develop and implement high-visibility strategic messaging addressing customer needs and technology value
  • Coordinate end-to-end external engagements including industry, customer, partner and thought leadership events
  • Set quality benchmarks for content across AWS organizations
  • Create business and technical narratives to articulate differentiation and value proposition
  • Engage with senior executives and industry thought leaders to drive adoption of AWS solutions
  • Measure and share results of speaking engagements to evaluate impact
  • Guide executives during high-pressure situations and ensure timely stakeholder communication

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement our most visible strategic messaging programs that resonate with technical audiences and line of business owners, promote engagement, and address customer needs with value-driven communications about AWS products and partner solutions.
  • Create business and technical narratives to acquire and grow customers and partners by articulating the technical differentiation and value proposition of our services and partner programs.
  • Craft a multi-year business development strategy to build lighthouse case studies with partners that highlight our ability to deliver deep expertise to customers and drive revenue growth.
  • Coordinate end-to-end management of external engagements including industry, customer, partner and thought leadership events; gather feedback to improve offerings.
  • Set quality benchmarks for content across AWS organizations and serve as a resource that elevates technical understanding enterprise-wide.
  • Collaborate with the Specialist and Partner leadership team and lead the ASP Strategic Communications team on messaging our strategic value proposition internally and externally.
  • Engage with senior executives and industry thought leaders to drive adoption of Amazon's technology solutions and services.
  • Manage a team of executive communications managers who prepare executives for internal and external speaking engagements and create content for global meetings; manage internal communications via various channels; script video content; and shape social media strategy and execution.
  • Align with AWS PR, Marketing and Subject Matter Expert teams on communication strategies and messaging.
  • Create thought leadership programs and opportunities for the ASP leader to promote the business value of partnering with AWS.
  • Measure and share results of speaking engagements to evaluate impact.
  • Conduct research and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for enhancing executive communications.
  • Provide guidance and support to executives during high-pressure situations and ensure timely and accurate communication to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of professional communications, public relations, or public affairs experience
  • Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, high-tech products/services
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising or business
  • Experience working with other enterprises on developing joint messaging and thought leadership
  • Experience developing technical content for diverse, large-scale audiences

Preferred

  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams across geographies and business units
  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, ability to articulate a clear point of view on complicated issues in crisp, concise communications, and experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
