Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Industry Commentary & Reactive Content: When something happens in the app ecosystem you write or commission RevenueCat's response, delivering original commentary and explaining why it matters for developers.
  • Company Communications & Amplification: Own RevenueCat's external voice for major content drops and product launches, coordinating with product marketing to amplify through media, influencers, newsletters, and podcasts.
  • Social Voice & Presence: Write opinionated social content that builds RevenueCat's reputation and frames ecosystem narratives; not about day-to-day scheduling but about responsible, high-signal posts.
  • Voice & Narrative Consistency: Ensure every published piece sounds like RevenueCat — opinionated, developer-first, and genuinely useful.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in content marketing, brand communications, editorial, or a related role with strategic thinking and hands-on writing.
  • Exceptional writing skills for sharp industry takes and polished announcements, with a portfolio showing range and voice.
  • Follows the app ecosystem, developer tools, or related B2B/tech space with informed opinions on why it matters.
  • Narrative mindset across all touchpoints, not just individual pieces of content.
  • Experience with content distribution and amplification to make content travel beyond creation.
  • Comfort interpreting data and research findings to turn into compelling narratives, social posts, or pitches.
  • Strong editorial judgment; able to move fast without sacrificing quality.
  • Comfort with AI tools to accelerate research and drafting, while knowing where human judgment matters.

Preferred

  • Have experience owning a company's external voice or brand narrative at a B2B or developer-focused company.
  • Worked in comms, PR, or brand marketing, understanding earned attention comes from substance, not just promotion.
  • Experience building a social presence known for perspective and point of view, not just content promotion.
  • Experience writing for a technical audience without diluting clarity.

Benefits

  • What We offer: Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator
  • 10-year window to exercise vested equity options
  • Fully remote and flexible work environment
  • 4-5 weeks of suggested time off annually for mental, physical, and emotional recharge
  • $2,000 USD for workspace setup and $1,000 USD annual stipend for continuous learning
