Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day strategic lead across a portfolio of travel, hospitality, food and beverage and lifestyle accounts, anticipating client needs and providing thoughtful strategic direction and counsel to clients and account teams
  • Oversee the management of client accounts, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality work that meets the client's objectives and expectations
  • Oversee workflow and delegate responsibilities effectively, ensuring assignments are completed accurately, strategically and on time
  • Oversee the development of creative pitches, campaigns and PR initiatives to support client goals, including brand awareness, media exposure and reputation management
  • Oversee the creation and strategy/distribution of press materials such as press releases, media alerts and pitches, ensuring they align with brand messaging
  • Manage and mentor a team ranging from Account Coordinators to Account Supervisors, providing team members with structure, coaching, training, thoughtful feedback and opportunities for professional growth
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-level journalists and influencers/content creators to enhance press coverage opportunities for clients
  • Identify compelling storylines, timely media opportunities and creative angles that elevate clients within the cultural conversation
  • Lead brainstorms and contribute creative ideas for campaigns, events, partnerships and experiential programs
  • Represent GO PR at industry events, client activations and networking opportunities

Requirements

  • Minimum of six (6) - eight (8) years of media relations experience, within an agency environment and with a focus on travel, hospitality, food and beverage and/or lifestyle
  • At least two (2) years of experience directly managing and mentoring two or more junior team members
  • Proven track record of leading client accounts and managing teams successfully
  • Strong strategic thinking and experience developing and executing integrated campaigns
  • Established high-level media relationships and a passion for creative storytelling
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Self-motivated, positive and proactive team player
  • Experience using AI to drive efficiency
  • Desire to grow within the company
