Job Description

Responsibilities

  • System Superhero: Keep our PR engines running smoothly by maintaining tracking and content management systems like the JED PR Asana Tracker, FINN PR Asana Tracker, JED/FINN Content Calendar, and the PR tracker managed by Liza.
  • Media Master: Support our media distribution list and help us reach the right people through platforms like CisionOne, TVEyes, and Campaign Monitor.
  • Social Star: Help develop JED’s thought leadership on LinkedIn, ensuring our voice is loud, clear, and perfectly aligned with current news.
  • Engagement Expert: Create "coffee chat" email templates to connect with journalists and help us keep the conversation going!
  • Research Guru: Dive into mental health and suicide prevention research to curate top-tier content for our monthly news bulletin.
  • Inbox Ace: Manage the JED PR media inbox, triaging inquiries like a pro and working with the dream team (Justin, Meghan, and Shani!).
  • Communications Sidekick: Provide direct support to the PR Director and Manager by drafting talking points and responding to student interview requests.
  • The Big Project: Take the lead on a Time-Bound Project —drafting a press pitch and media list for a real-world outreach campaign!

Requirements

  • Design Savvy: You’ve got the knowledge and you know how to apply it to create eye-catching work.
  • Adobe InDesign Pro: You’re comfortable doing light layout work and making quick updates to one-pager designs.
  • Creative Flair: You have a strong attention to detail and a knack for reviewing graphics that resonate across marketing channels.
  • Team Player: You’re a great communicator who loves collaborating with different teams to bring projects to life.
