Job Description
Responsibilities
- Edit podcast trailers (short-form first) from long-form episodes
- Deliver trailers in both 9:16 (vertical) and 16:9 (horizontal) formats
- Identify strong hooks, moments, and narrative arcs within episodes
- Add captions, pacing, music, b-roll, and light graphics
- Optimize content for platform performance (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts)
- Turn around edits efficiently within agreed timelines
- Iterate quickly based on feedback from internal team and talent
- 1-2 trailer cuts per episode
- Vertical (9:16) social-first version
- Horizontal (16:9) platform/distribution version
- Up to 2 rounds of revisions
Requirements
- Proven experience editing short-form video content (portfolio required)
- Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, and retention
- Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Experience with captioning, music selection, and social-first editing styles
- Ability to turn long-form content into concise, engaging cuts
- Organized, responsive, and reliable with deadlines
Preferred
- Experience editing podcast or interview-style content
- Understanding of creator economy / influencer content
- Familiarity with current TikTok, Reels, and Shorts trends
- Light motion graphics
