Lead market growth and staffing for bridge inspection programs, owning proposals, budgets, and team performance across regions.

- Oversee proposal development and production of inspection reports
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Grow existing and new market presence in area through marketing and business development
- Manage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordingly
- Manage utilization of staff
- Lead and contribute to the production of proposals
- Coordinate and serve as a resource to technical staff
- Establish resource staffing needs
- Interview and hire staff for the section
- Conduct performance reviews for staff
- Coordinate work-sharing within region and between regions
- Serve as Team Leader in performing in-service bridge safety inspections
Requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Ability to manage, mentor, and provide guidance and direction to staff
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Thorough understanding of the PennDOT and PTC bridge inspection practices, inventory management applications, and bridge rating software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program
- Professional Engineer License in Pennsylvania
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Bridge Inspection
- Experience working with PennDOT (Multiple Districts preferred)
- Experience working with PennDOT Central Office and PTC
Preferred

- Supervisory experience
- Business development experience
- Bridge design experience is a plus
