Job Summary

Lead medical writing and content strategy for healthcare clients and advisory boards.

  • Own content development across advisory boards, meeting decks, and client programs.
  • Must have 4–5 years medical writing experience in health care marketing or equivalents.
  • Direct client and HCP interaction with ability to simplify complex ideas.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Content Development
  • Develop, write, and update content
  • Develop, attend, and report on advisory programs and conference programs
  • Provide onsite support at advisory programs, key client meetings, congresses, or other events
  • Serve as the scientific lead for assigned accounts
  • Understand the competitive landscape, key health care providers and their roles as stakeholders
  • Assist in the development of overall strategic direction and planning for assigned accounts
  • Coordinate with senior scientific staff
  • Attend internal and external meetings, and update content as appropriate
  • Interact with and provide scientific support to clients, as directed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-5 years medical writing experience, preferably in a health care marketing or communications agency internship, preceptorship or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills
  • Ability to understand complex scientific and medical literature
  • Ability to assist in the development of overall strategy for clients
  • Direct client and HCP interaction experience
  • Ability to develop clear, concise, and consistent content
  • Ability to relate to a wide variety of audiences and be able to simplify abstract ideas for others
  • Experience developing medical communications materials, including (but not limited to) slide decks, live and virtual advisory boards (agendas, meeting decks, summaries), speaker bureau materials and training, brochure and flashcards, and other relevant materials
  • Works effectively within a team, including both internal and external partners
  • Possess ability to work directly with clients, leading discussions, and identifying solutions to their business needs
