Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Media Planning & Research •     Work with Senior Strategists to develop detailed, data-backed media plans for client campaigns, outlining channel mix, audience targeting, budget allocation, and flight timing. Conduct in-depth campaign research to identify the most effective platforms, placements, and tactics for reaching target audiences at scale.
  • Pull and analyze audience data using third-party research tools and data providers to inform targeting strategy and media recommendations.
  • Provide research support on RFPs and externally facing proposals or presentations.
  • Own the media plan deliverable from kickoff through final approval, ensuring all plans meet client expectations and internal quality standards.
  • Join client calls alongside account managers to align on campaign goals, audience priorities, and planning expectations.
  • Translate client briefs and strategic objectives into actionable, well-structured media plans that reflect a deep understanding of the client’s goals.
  • Communicate media recommendations clearly and confidently to both internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Track race competitive via third-party partners such as AdImpact, communicating recommendations to internal Client and Strategy teams.
  • Evaluate and recommend media vendors, data research providers, and platform partners based on campaign needs, audience fit, and performance track record.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the current vendor landscape and emerging media channels, ensuring Yosemite’s plans reflect best-in-class options.
Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in media planning or buying digital advertising, or a related agency role.
  • Proven ability to build comprehensive media plans with defined audience strategies, channel allocations, and budget breakdowns.
  • Hands-on experience with audience research tools and data providers (e.g., ComScore, Nielsen, MRI-Simmons, or similar).
  • Familiarity with digital media channels including programmatic, paid social, connected TV, streaming audio, and search.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint in particular) and project management tools (Monday.com).
Preferred
  • Previous experience in political advertising, issue advocacy, or civic engagement campaigns.
  • Experience working directly with media vendors and managing RFP processes.
  • Familiarity with emerging media trends, evolving privacy standards, and audience signal alternatives in a post-cookie landscape.
