Drive community literacy engagement by coordinating family communications and event activities as an AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop and distribute program communications to ensure families are informed about literacy programming opportunities
Support coordination of events such as LEAP Camp and Storytime in the Park to ensure strong attendance and participation
Manage communication with families (reminders, follow-ups) to support consistent participation in literacy activities
Assist with event setup and coordination to create a welcoming environment that encourages engagement
Capture program activities (photos/videos) to support ongoing family engagement and participation
Support real-time engagement during events by welcoming families and encouraging participation in literacy activities
Track number of students and families participating in programs (ED1)
Monitor attendance and engagement in literacy activities (ED5)

Requirements

Education level: Some college
Age Requirement: Minimum 18
Permits attendance at school during off hours
Permits working at another job during off hours
