Job Summary

Own VALA marketing from visibility to conversion, tying creator partnerships, content, and product updates to measurable growth.

  • Growth Ownership: Lead cross-channel campaigns across social, creators, email, video, and paid ads to build VALA’s audience and conversions.
  • Content & Community: Create content calendars and compelling copy for launches, updates, and promos while engaging art and animation communities.
  • Insights & Launch Readiness: Gather user feedback, track performance, and help shape product messaging for upcoming features and early-access events.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for VALA across social media, creator communities, email, video platforms, and paid advertising channels.
  • Create and manage content calendars for platforms such as LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, Discord, and relevant art or animation communities.
  • Write clear, compelling copy for product updates, launch announcements, landing pages, newsletters, Gumroad/store pages, and promotional campaigns.
  • Identify and contact artists, animators, YouTubers, streamers, educators, and indie developers who may be interested in trying or showcasing VALA.
  • Help develop VALA’s brand positioning, including messaging for different audiences such as professional animators, hobbyists, indie game creators, students, and comic artists.
  • Track marketing performance, including engagement, conversion, audience growth, campaign results, and user feedback.
  • Support product launches, feature announcements, demo campaigns, community events, and early-access promotions.
  • Gather insights from users and communities to help guide future marketing and product communication.

Requirements

  • Experience in marketing, growth, content strategy, social media, creator outreach, or product marketing.
  • Comfortable writing strong marketing copy and adapting tone for different audiences and platforms.
  • Good understanding of digital artists, animators, game developers, content creators, or creative software users.
  • Ability to take a technical or experimental product and explain why it matters in simple, exciting language.
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently in a small company environment.
  • Eye for what makes software appealing visually and emotionally, not just functionally.

Preferred

  • Experience marketing creative tools, games, animation software, design software, plugins, SaaS products, or indie software.
  • Experience with paid ads, SEO, email marketing, influencer outreach, Discord community building, or launch strategy.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Blender, Krita, Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, After Effects, Toon Boom, TVPaint, DaVinci Resolve, Unity, Godot, or Unreal Engine.
  • Experience creating or coordinating short-form video content, tutorials, product demos, or creator-focused campaigns.
  • Existing understanding of indie game development, animation communities, webcomics, YouTube art channels, or digital art culture.
