Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create and coordinate engaging email campaigns, e-newsletters, and digital content that connect with our customers.
  • Use customer insights and shopping data to help make communications and offers more relevant and effective.
  • Keep digital campaigns and communications organized, accurate, and on schedule.
  • Partner with the Marketing Manager and teams across the co-op to bring marketing campaigns and ideas to life.
  • Help plan and support key co-op events and community engagement activities throughout the year.
  • This position creates and coordinates timely, engaging communications that support Marketing priorities, promotions, events, and Valley Natural Foods' family of brands.
  • The role also supports select community partnerships and events as needed.
  • Coordinate E-Newsletter Communications: Create, edit, proof, test, schedule, and distribute Valley Natural Foods' regular e-newsletters and other email communications, ensuring content is accurate, timely, engaging, and aligned with brand standards and Marketing priorities.
  • Coordinate Email Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute targeted email campaigns using CRM and customer shopping data to identify trends and audience segments, creating personalized messaging, offers, and coupons that align with customer preferences and shopping behavior.
  • Coordinate Digital Marketing Calendar: Coordinate email and digital communications with the broader Marketing calendar to ensure campaigns, promotions, events, and customer communications are delivered on schedule.

Requirements

  • Marketing, Graphic Design or Digital Communications or previous related work experience
  • Competency in Adobe Creative Suite9InDesign, AI, Photoshop etc.)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of social media platforms and strategic planning, including backdoor utilization, analytics presentation, customer interaction and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management and organization skills with demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently or on a team with ability to meet deadlines, coordinate projects and work varied hours and days, including occasional nights or weekends to accommodate events.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Mailchimp or similar platform. Strong technical aptitude to learn and adapt to changing technology.
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills (spoken, listening, & written).
  • High ethical standards with personal integrity with the ability to convey an accurate public image of the co-op, acting in the best interests of the co-op.
  • Demonstrated objectivity and ability to stay in conflict and timely follow-through to commitments
  • Detail oriented, able to multi-task and remain flexible to the changing needs of the co-op

Preferred

  • Experience with Ecommerce metrics and advertising.
  • Previous experience with video editing software.
  • Previous Marketing work experience or degree in Marketing/Communications, or related field.
  • Previous experience in the following areas: Food Styling; Photography; Professional Writing and copywriting; Creative Writing and Editing; and Desktop Publishing.
  • Understanding of the retail, grocery/co-op, natural/organic food industry.
  • An interest in food, community, local businesses, or the cooperative model is a plus.
